NYC Real Estate Fun Fact: Skip the 13th Floor

So I came across a fun fact about NYC buildings which I found to be very interesting and just HAD to share with you guys.
Now, I know a lot of people are superstitious about a lot of things in the world, but most importantly numbers.
Whether it's making a wish at 11:11, Lucky number 7, Death comes in Threes and of course the number 13. (Maybe due to the movie, Friday the 13th?)

However, I never really thought how much of an effect this would have on architecture, especially in NYC. But boy was I wrong!
According to CityRealty, out of 629 buildings with 13 or more floors, only 55 labeled the 13th floor as the 13th floor. That means only 9 percent of the condos that actually have 13th floors label them as such!
The remaining 91 percent of buildings with 13th floors relabeled them things like Floor M, Mezzanine Floor or just simply skipped the floor and went straight to 14th.
Including luxury buildings like 53W53 and 225 W.57th.
Now of course, this doesn't have a actual effect on the value of your home IF it did land on the 13th floor, however it might keep away some very superstitious people. In some cultures the numbers 13 and 4 are bad luck, while other numbers like 6 represent positivity.
What are some of the superstitions you follow?
Would being on the 13th floor freak you out?
I’ve been driving for DoorDash, and from my experience, DoorDash looks for a clean criminal record, especially regarding violent crimes or serious offenses. They also check your driving history, so things like DUIs may disqualify you. Minor offenses typically don’t affect your application, but anything serious from recent years could be flagged. DoorDash uses Checkr for background checks, which can take time if there are any errors or outdated info. For more details on what DoorDash looks for in a background check, check out this article: https://consumerattorneys.com/article/what-does-doordash-look-for-in-a-background-check. Anyone else had experience with DoorDash’s background check process?
